Our Group Treasurer is no longer able to continue in the role, so we are therefore advertising the voluntary vacancy of Group Treasurer.
If you are interested in making a real difference to running our group, behind the scenes (this in a non-uniformed appointment), please contact either our current Chair or Lead Volunteer (Group Scout Leader) by email to find out more about the role. The appointment will be voted in at our AGM on Thursday 7 March, at Caythorpe Village Hall (time TBC, likely 7pm).
The role involves:
Training for the Trustee element of the role is provided online by The Scouts and the rest of the team are more than happy to help. A Scouts email address will be provided and ideally you’ll have used Microsoft 365 before. The Group can provide a laptop as required.
You will be required to have a basic understanding of keeping financial records and be comfortable with use of varied IT systems. Further, you must be prepared to be registered with HMRC and the Charities Commission as a Trustee, with Indemnity insurance being provided the the Scout Association.
